Success in the Court Room
Tim has successfully settled and tried cases that resulted in numerous settlements or judgments over the million dollar mark. In 1993, he successfully argued an important federal maritime case in front of the United States Supreme Court. In a 7-2 vote the justices of the Supreme Court agreed with Mr. Falcon and he kept an important remedy available for injured mariners. Mr. Falcon and the firm currently handle hundreds of cases for workers who were wrongfully exposed to radiation due to the negligence and intent of various oil companies. This work has resulted in significant verdicts and settlements in an area of the law that he and his firm are one of a few firms developing. He is involved in the case from the beginning to the end, including preparing and trying the case and working on the appeals. The Falcon Law Firm team has developed significant successful trial techniques that help to maximize the settlements and judgments that are obtained for the firm’s clients.
Mr. Falcon is admitted pro hac vice in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Florida, United States District Court for the Southern District of Alabama, and the United States 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.
In the Community
Tim is married to Jewell Falcon and is the proud father of four children. He is a board member and co-founder of Cafe Reconcile and Cafe Hope, which are non-profit organizations dedicated to the education and training of disadvantaged children from the New Orleans area. Tim is also a board member of several other organizations including: Community Center for Life, whose mission is to save the lives of the unborn by educating and counseling men and women; Providence Community Housing, whose undertaking is to foster healthy, diverse, and vibrant communities by developing, operating, and advocating for affordable, mixed-income housing, supportive services and employment opportunities for individuals, families, seniors and people with special needs; and LSF Foundation, Inc., which provides building space for Café Reconcile and Kid’s Café, as well as, provides job training for disadvantaged youth in Central City, New Orleans. Tim is also Chairman of the Greater New Orleans Rugby Foundation and coach of Shaw High School’s rugby team.
